Yes and yes.

yes, arts and culture is an economic engine. It makes the city livable.
Students with an education rich in the arts have better grade point averages and are three times more likely to get a degree. Will you commit to making the arts a critical component of every child’s education? If so, how?
I encourage the schools and arts organizations to link together. I chaired the VSO education committee while I served on the VSO board

theatres, studio space are all in high demand Vancouver must continue to support
Will you work to ensure access to affordable, sustainable cultural spaces for artists and arts organizations? If so, how?
We need to look at city land, and shared spaces to make studio and spaces available.

Festivals and linking together artists with Tourism
How do you propose to attract or retain artists and cultural workers in your community?
Affordability is a major problem to keep and attract artists and cultural workers. Work is needed here.
What do you feel is the single most important issue relating to arts, culture, and heritage in your community, and what action will you take to address it?
Housing and space is the issue. We need creative solutions to help the "missing middle" which includes arts and culture to keep the city livable

I have subscriptions to the Arts Club all 3 theatre, Bard on the Beach, Vancouver Opera, Early music, I served on the VSO board of directors for 6 years, chaired the education committee, Jericho United Players subscriber, UBC Opera
