Do you know how much your local government invests in the arts? Would you commit to advocating for an increase in that cultural investment for arts, culture, and heritage in your community, within the capacity of your elected body?
No. I will advocate for more investment in arts, culture, heritage in our community. The arts is so fundamental to our intelligence, way of life, development and success for the future.
If elected, will you take an active role on behalf of your local government in championing the growth of arts, culture and heritage in your community? Why?
Yes, because its highly needed to enhance our curiosity and development.
Students with an education rich in the arts have better grade point averages and are three times more likely to get a degree. Will you commit to making the arts a critical component of every child’s education? If so, how?
Yes, I think we need to work with the arts councils to integrate some of their creativity into our school curriculum. Without critical thinking our society will have difficulties to innovate.
How will your local government maintain or grow its investment in cultural programs in your community?
We can grow cultural investments by increasing grants for artist and organizations serving communities. I will also embark on building the capacity of aspiring artist and organizations.
Will you work to ensure access to affordable, sustainable cultural spaces for artists and arts organizations? If so, how?
Yes, I will work with school boards and municipal councils on enacting by-laws, which will give artist and organizations access to space in our recreation centers, schools and city own facilities.
How do you propose to improve cultural tourism in your community?
I will improve cultural tourism by forging international alliances with embassies, consulates and representations of various in Canada. Businesses and the provincial government should also involve in any improvement initiative as both play a vital role in our economy.
How do you propose to attract or retain artists and cultural workers in your community?
We need to come up with grants and incentives which can attract artist and cultural workers in our community. Also, the council need to lead by creating the appropriate atmosphere.
What do you feel is the single most important issue relating to arts, culture, and heritage in your community, and what action will you take to address it?
Lack of incentives and capacity building is missing for most artist. Every community needs to set up a committee in partnership with schools, to address the rising need of arts,culture and heritage in our communities.
How do you personally engage in the cultural life of the community? (e.g. involvement on committees, attending arts and culture events, etc.)
I have created digital arts programs for youths, and I enjoy visiting the arts center.

I am committed to supporting artist, and their rights. As someone who has worked with many artist and youths, I enjoy writing poems. I think arts, culture and heritage is vital to our social and economical development. If a society ignores to see the potential of arts, culture and heritage, then it has lost its vision for success.
