2017 Provincial Election Toolkits

Voters' Toolkit

The BC Alliance for Arts + Culture has developed a toolkit to assist artists, cultural workers, arts organizations and arts supporters in their advocacy efforts in the lead-up to British Columbia’s 2017 provincial election. It outlines both the social and economic benefits that make the case for public and private investment in the cultural sector and recommends actions needed to ensure that BC’s creative industry is competitive and sustainable.

Candidates' Toolkit

The BC Alliance for Arts + Culture has developed a toolkit to assist political candidates running in British Columbia’s 2017 provincial election to aid in development of their platform for support of the cultural sector in our province and to advocate for further investment.

An investment in the cultural sector is an investment in the potential of human creativity.

We urge candidates to use the toolkit to become familiar with the current state of provincial investment in arts and culture, and to develop a platform iterating their support of the cultural sector.

Download the toolkits and share with others to help make the case for increased investment in British Columbia's cultural sector.
